Terry Cleaver, M.D. is originally from Western Kentucky. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1994 to join Cape Anesthesia Group, Inc. There he provided both operating room anesthesia and Pain Management services through a hospital based practice at St Francis Medical Center. He was instrumental in developing the Pain Management program at St Francis hospital and assisting them in attaining accreditation from the American Academy of Pain Management. In July of 2007, he joined the Brain and Neurospine Clinic as the director of the newly formed Pain Management Department. He has brought comprehensive care to the non-surgical management of many chronic pain syndromes.

Specific areas of interest and expertise include the use of Spinal Cord Stimulation in managing neuropathic pain. A Graduate of Murray State University, Dr Cleaver attended the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine, prior to completing his residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical University Of South Carolina. He has sub-specialty training in Pain Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He maintains privileges at both Southeast Missouri Hospital as well as St Francis Medical Center.

In his free time, Dr. Cleaver enjoys genealogy research and Civil War history as well as caring for his teenage children.
